Open position: Laboratory Analyst (EXPIRED)

Sulapac is a company on a mission to save the world from plastic waste and we are now looking for a Laboratory Analyst to join our passionate team of professionals. This is a great opportunity for a soon-to-be or recently graduated M.Sc. or engineer, who wants to gain experience in biomaterials.

Job description 

Your key responsibility is to conduct and report basic laboratory analysis such as:
Material stability in climate chamber/ovens
Mechanical testing
Compatibility testing with different cosmetics
Compostability testing 

Your responsibilities will also include sending samples to external partners and assist in R&D work in general. 

The employment is full-time, and temporary until 15.8.2021. Working hours and other details are negotiable. 

 

What we believe makes a strong candidate 

We are looking for close to or a freshly graduated university student with major in chemistry, polymer chemistry, material science, biomaterials, plastics or another relevant field. You may also apply with a bachelor level degree in chemical engineering, laboratory analytics or other relevant field. 

Successful candidate has strong interest in working towards a more sustainable world and is not afraid of hands-on work. You are well organized, social, and self-initiative employee, with hard-working and positive attitude. Good problem-solving skills alongside with willingness to take action independently are necessary to thrive in this position. 

You are fluent in English, since that is our official documentation language. Finnish is appreciated, but not mandatory. You should not have fragrance hypersensitivity or similar condition, as the work includes testing conducted with perfumes. We appreciate desire to self-improve and we will support your development towards a biomaterial professional.
