Recyclable and biobased solution for thermoforming

Create sustainable point-of-sale displays, trays and pallets for logistics, food containers, mugs, plant pots, and more with sustainable Sulapac material. Sulapac can be both mechanically and chemically recycled, which is a highly important feature, as the residue in thermoforming accounts for 10-30% per material sheet.

Materials typically replaced with Sulapac include PS, PP, and PLA. Compared to these a slightly thicker sheet may be required when thermoforming with Sulapac.


Easy to process material with natural look and feel

Sulapac Flow 1.7 has been originally developed to tackle the global plastic waste problem by providing a sustainable material for straws.

Besides extrusion, the material has been proven to have excellent functionality in 3D printing and thermoforming as well.

Sulapac Flow 1.7 contains 72% USDA certified bio-based content. The material is safe for both people and the planet: it is industrially compostable according to BPI (ASTM D6400) and leaves no permanent microplastic’ or toxic load behind.

The main components are wood from industrial side streams and biodegradable biopolymers. All raw materials are sourced according to a strict sustainability policy and the wood originates from certified forests.

Sulapac Flow 1.7 can be both mechanically and chemically recycled.
